Protective coating area

The long service life of steel structures is ensured by protecting metal surfaces from rust. The devastating impact of corrosive medium gradually weaken their solidity and destroy the original product appearance. Therefore, anticorrosion painting of metal should be carried out in accordance with the chosen protection system.

The protective coating area is constructed according to the basic steps of metal anti-corrosion and decorative finishing:

  • surface preparation;
  • removal of rich sediments;
  • primer application;
  • painting.

Equipment:

  • An inhabited blast chamber of the dead-end type.
  • Dimensions:
    • Length of internal space - 12,000mm;
    • Height of the interior space - 4,000mm;
    • Width of internal space - 6,000mm.
  • Technology:

Abrasive blasting of fabricated welded metal structures from mill scale, rust and protective coatings with surface roughness from 40 Rz and surface cleanliness up to Sa3.

Parts are delivered to the chamber by modular transport trolleys with integrated hoist.

Equipment:

  • Painting and drying chambers equipped with incoming air preparation and cleaning systems (heating, filtration).
  • Dimensions:
    • Length of internal - 12,000mm;
    • Height of the interior space - 4,000mm;
    • Width of internal space - 6,000mm;
  • Drying temperature - up to 60°C.

The protective coating system adopted as a base allows obtaining products that have a corrosion protection for more than 15 years in a C5-M corrosive medium according to ISO 9223.

The quality of protective coatings is ensured by the use of devices and equipment to control: raw materials, climate conditions of all technological procedures, degree of cleaning, roughness and dustiness of surfaces, coatings thickness, adhesion force of coatings.
